I moved in with father after my divorce,2015, to get 'on my feet'. I was financially broke. My father owned a business, and I helped run it. Off and on from 2002-2018, In 2017, I saw cognitive declination in my father and his decision making for the business was not logical or money making. His business was in trouble financially
We Went to a doctor, and a neurologist; they both diagnosed him with Alzheimer's. I have been living with him since 2015. Now, he is close to going into a memory… read more

It is definitely part of the final process. I watched my mother stop eating and drinking. If we force food and drink, this can make our patient sick. We moisten their mouths and lips, and pray the end is near. For my mom it was only about a week. She had vascular dementia and eventually lost her ability to speak, so she signed. She never lost her ability to communicate. She was a brilliant lady and I miss her every day.

I helped my husband and his 2 sisters care for their mom with Dementia. We cared for her for almost 7 years every other month. We would meet half way to exchange homes between 3 of us . Her husband had passed 2007 and had set up a financial estate for them to take care of her . It all worked out for them . There has to be someone you can call to come in and help out . Does he have any insurance at all .? You yave to be his Advocate for uim if he can't decide for himself. Do the best you can and keep praying. I will pray for you if thats ok with you.
