HI Everyone
My husband and I both have older iphones. Since he's become less cognitively able, he has started receiving numerous spam calls, but mostly emails. They are all for 'freebies and 'awards' or money, packages to pick up....I don't want to take the phone away, because he has gotten misplaced and needed to call me. A lot of those phone calls and emails are just trying to get your personal information so they can either access your bank account or steal your identity. If he clicks on any of the links they can access information on his phone.
I put my husbands phone away and purchased Angel Sense. Not near as expensive as a phone and is a GPS Tracker that attaches to his clothing. All he has to do is push a button on the front to call me. And the best part is he can't take it off or turn it off. It comes with a special tool to remove it. I put it in my husbands front pocket first thing in the morning and charge it at night.
What about gitter bug it's easy to operate and you can keep your number,got my 98 mother one it has big numbers and I put all important numbers in it

You can usually block unwanted emails
My phone has do not disturb and ni calls come through except my friends. Android
That's a great suggestion, thank you. We are getting closer to needing that. He is really struggling to not answer spam--although has no credit card, and gets confused on how to dial, text. I will check that out!
