Hubby complains about jock itching after his pacemaker surgery. They shaved his pubic hair off to insert catheter tube. He got pacemaker via the catheter tube. He had anesthesia which seemed to mess up his head and give him bladder control issues. Now, he's better at it, but he still complains about the itching and being wet. I got him medicated powder and ointment. I currently give him allergy pill every other day or so. I even took him to local Urgent Care to see if he has UTI. He was negative… read more

Dear WeaverBecca, No experience with this type of problem...could he still be healing from irritation/trauma where they inserted the catheter? No discoloration, or bruising? It also is sometimes uncomfortable when the hair is growing back in over the area of catheter insertion. Could it be the negative effects of the anesthesia and confusion with the procedure...of course. Is he taking anything for anxiety? Just thoughts...Sending support. Take care.
