I just keep answering. Most of the time it’s a yes or no answer and if it requires more words, switch it up so you don’t get too frustrated. It’s all part of the disease sadly.

My father used to ask us the same question over and over again and all we did was keep answering the questions. It is just a part of a disease. My father is barely talking now, believe it or not, I miss the questions.

Yes, I change the subject when my husband repeatedly asks the same question. It’s worse when we are in the car on our way to an appointment so now I write the time, doctor name and type, and city on a post-it note and stick it on the dash so he can see it. That helps.

Nothing to do but keep answering his questions. He can’t remember he just asked that a little bit earlier. I learned to keep the answers short. At first I would write the answer on a piece of paper and he would stick it in his shirt pocket, but eventually he couldn’t remember to look there. Also he didn’t relate to pronouns (he, she, they etc). I had to say the person’s name. I got used to it so eventually it didn’t bother me so much.

Yep. I just keep answering . No way to resolve the memory loss issue.
