Try to hold onto and remember the person who was, and what you did
together, and what you meant to each other.

I am heartbroken for all of us💔Trying to find the energy to be creative during the holidays which is a feat in itself.
If not doing it for yourself then we're doing it for everyone else!
For myself, I found peace this year in putting everything out, that Jack and I decorated the house with. Somehow, it did make me feel better bringing it out🙏 It reminded me of therapy for the soul💜
I hope my Dementia family can try to do this for themselves💜 We deserve it🎄

I have a picture of my wife predominately displayed in our living room when she was young and healthy. I find it helps remind me of the wonderful woman I married. It really helps having one or two friends you meet with ideally at least every other week to share your loss and grief with especially if they are going through their own grief.I find exercise and getting outdoors are very helpful.

I am grieving already before the loss. It's not the same person I am living with

All:
Let's keep Christ, in Christmas! Don't stress over tree, ornaments, visitors, etc. You have enough stress, without adding to it!
Play Christmas music, light, or Tabernacle Choir majestic.
When we downsized to a 2br/2bath condo, 6+ yrs ago, we retained an 18" tree on the servethrough, and garland decorated and around one door. We have 8 Manger displays, large and small, to keep things basic, but revenant and joyful.
