My Gal Still Drives And Is Now Going Shopping Almost Every Day. Sometimes She Gets Turned Around Or Lost. I Know It’s Dangerous But She Love
My husband stopped driving on his own. One day he just said he shouldn’t drive. I think he realized how easily he would become disoriented. I am grateful this was not a battle. He also owns a sailboat which our son enjoys with him. We have been married for 52 years & he has had a sailboat of some type for at least 30 of these years. It has become necessary to have a third person on the boat, because my husband is losing his abilities to help sail. Unfortunately sailing is something I have never done or enjoyed. The one thing I have managed to do after all these years is to watch football! This is something we can do together!
Thank you
The issue here is the potential liability if she should have an accident and cause injury to someone else, &/or cause damage to someone else’s property. Her personal assets are at risk, if the liability for the accident exceeds her policy limits — and that CAN happen.
Here’s a link to a very thorough discussion about driving.
