I’m not good in the heat- do my chores in the morning. Hubs at 80 doesn’t do much at all & will sit outside in patio all afternoon when it’s 105. Eventually comes in for a bit of tv. But things change ALL THE TIME - & what works today won’t work tomorrow!! There is nothing good with this disease.

Stay indoors if it's hot. If your home isn't cool enough, go to a community center, chruch, or other location.

We moved our daily morning walks from after breakfast to the first thing in the morning. There seems to be a little bit of a breeze early mornings. If we walk out and the humidity is really soupy, we'll stay indoors. I put music on the TV (on DirecTV) channel 804 and I'll change it as needed. My spouse seems to know a lot of the words for the older songs. Alzheimer's has robbed him of putting a sentence together! Music is magic for us. We hold hands and step to the right 2 times, step to the left 2 times and then I have a small twirl with him, it's fun. We've also done easy exercises on the chair. If anyone wants suggestions I'm happy to share our chair exercises.

Very light clothing outside activities can be changed to early morning or later afternoon when itsall together. Water activities if still possible cool showers and believe it or not my Mom and Dad loved Popsicles ice cream and milkshakes especially towards the end but before they stopped eating alltogether. Hope this helps a little. Everyone have a Blessed day.

My spouse has always liked the heat, much more than the cold. And he loves to walk, but has not done much this summer due to the heat. His group home husband to the director takes him to Lowe's or Home Depot for walks and he pushes a cart and wears a tool belt too. They are so good to him. I miss him being with me but visit him often as I can. He is declining with verbal speech and understanding questions, which break my heart. But we are hanging in there. Stay cool everyone. I
