I use to tell Mike what was happening next day. He would obsess and it would keep him up at night. Soooo, no more sharing tomorrow's agenda!

My husband also obsesses. The object of his obsessing changes but seems to center on several topics...car/driving, work he needs to complete on a rental house we own in CT, and returning to CT to live. Some days no obsessing, some days a lot of jumping between these topics. The good news is that he forgets quickly. I don't respond except to acknowledge that I have heard him. I remind him we have MD appts coming up and I can't go to CT til after those or some other delay tactic. So far it works. I know these things feel very important to John at the moment and I try to be understanding and kind, It must be painful to be stuck in an obsessive loop. Sending support. Take care.

Hubs gets hyper focused on unusual projects that he thinks are important. Breaking bricks, sifting dirt, moving things back and forth.

Mom obsesses as well about things she wants.
