I've gotta ask does he need to go to the bathroom or pee my wife also used to get up twice a night and go into bathroom and stands there for a minute then she would come back to bed.I on the third night Ifollowed her in and said honey do you need to use the toilet or pee and she looked at me kind of funny and said yes I do need to use the bathroom And she was scared to go by herself.s now we try and get to sleep before ten cause I know between 1.30 or 2 she has to use the bathroom and I need to go with her to use the bathroom aw the things we do for our loved ones I'm happy she goes back to bed and sleeps in til 9 or someday til 10😉

When my 89 year old mom was diagnosed -at age 82-she slept hours during the morning and would not get up. That lasted about a year…now she has the same pattern as your husband. She sits on the couch in the den…up/down/awake and sleep. This of course wakes me…I try to tell her it is sleep time…sometimes it works..sometimes not. She wears depends and is incontinent so generally she is wet bc she heads to the bathroom when she feels the urge. I don’t know if this is the situation with your husband but it is a challenge. She also paced all night but that soon stopped. It’s the unpredictability of the disease. As I reread this I realize I’m not really helping you …. I’m sure someone will jump in with more helpful insights for you.

Welcome to our team.

Ronnie3, I'm not sure. I'm usually asleep. Totally ticks my husband off through. So this will pass soon too? Good! My husband found my dad twice outside our house once with our dog. Since then he put a two sided key deadbolt on the front door and we have something else for the patio door. Guess I have more patience with my dad than my husband. Wish he could get more!

Sounds like my dad. Thought the melantotin was working but my husband informed me he's still getting up. I go to bed late working on that. Stress and huge work load doesn't help either. Sounds like I get night shift tonight with my dad.
