Hi Is Anyone Using An Eldercare Attorney, For Asset Protection, Mediacaid Application, Qualified Income Trust, I Live In Nj
I used an Elder Care attorney for updating legal documents (POA, Health Care Directive, Last Will and Testament, . . . ) and for asset protection through creation of a trust. The attorney was the brightest man I had encountered in a very long time. He knew the ins-and-outs of state and federal laws because he dealt with them every working day. His fee was money well spent.
I used an attorney and am so glad i did. He is there to help meif i run into problems or have questions also. It is worth the peace of mind it has given me
We paid about $500 to an elder care attorney (Texas) to get paperwork in order and to discuss options for funding care. We discussed Medicaid at length and learned that is not a route I want to take unless catastrophically desperate. I recommend using an elder care attorney because I learned things I wouldn't have otherwise. I didn't like spending that amount, but definitely worth it!
We did not use atty. There is a site on computer called Legal Zoom. com. It has all the forms you need. We don't have the money for atty. We used this for my Pop and my sister now myself and hubby. We had an atty. look the papers over and said we had exactly what we needed. We had to have them notarized at a UPS store that knew about how to do it. Made plenty of copies. Never had a problem with my Pops and sisters in Ky. Make sure you get Durable Power of Atty., Medical, Financial. I hope this helps.
why was it worth it, i meet with an attorney here in nj, in a few weeks, my wife has alzheimers for 6 years and i tossed this around in my head for 6 years, do i go see an attorney
