Is It Normal For A Person With Dementia To Sleep More And More.
It seems that every time I visit this is happening more and more. It worries me that it will happen more and more. He was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2015. He is 76 years old.
Sorry, I don't have an answer because my husband is still about the same. However, I have read many stories on this site where the LO is sleeping an excessive amt of hours. I would guess that to be true then. Blessings ⚘️
In my case, she would go through phases of sleeping more and more, then she would suddenly be awake all the time for a day or two before returning to the previous pattern.
I would add that the sudden changes, I found over time, generally indicated a UTI. It is amazing that many medical professionals don't seem to recognize this. You may have to be the one to make this call. Otherwise, yes, they sleep more and more.
Thank you, I hope you find peace and comfort in the word's you find in this group. Hugs 🤗 kitty 😺

I have vascular dementia and I do require a lot more sleep. You have to remember, He is not getting as much blood and oxygen to His brain so he is tired all the time. I wish they could find a cure...a prayer always helps 🙏. I will be praying for you and your OH.
Hugs to you both 💗, Kitty 😺
