As @A myALZteam Member explained, the additional need for sleep has a lot to do with the changes that are taking place in the brain; and as @A myALZteam Member wrote, it IS part of this terrible disease. As the disease progresses, our loved ones will sleep more.

My husband doesn't take the meds but I have noticed he is sleeping more. It is part of this terrible disease

Hubby does like his dreams! Wakes up to tell me what he dreamt. But sometimes he gets confused like this am he said our dog Ella ate his breakfast in bed!
