Going On Vacation As We Care For My Mom With Alzheimer's

I am in a similar situation. I take care of my husband who is somewhat functioning yet. I am going to the beach for a week for a break. I am concerned about leaving him alone that long. I DO phone him at least twice/day, bu t sometimes he has difficulty with his SMART phone. I recently purchased the BLINK monitoring system which allows me to check on him via an app on my phone. This helps. And, I alert neighbors that I will be gone, and they know my husband's condition. I did speak with a wonderful person at Visiting Angels. They have a minimum "drop in" of 4 hours at $35/hour. My husband insists he doesn't need this support, but I think I would feel better about using this service.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome!
My husband insisted he was OK staying by himself, but I told him I need someone here for MY peace of mind. We have a home health policy that pays for sitters…through the Home Instead Agency. The rate here (western Kentucky) is $21/hour with a minimum of 3 hours.
