I put a small tape measure in my husbands pocket. He would take it out and play with it or even try to measure things with it. Hope this helps. Love SusieQ

Ha ha. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Many wives might say in their special ā€œI just wish heā€™d stop thatā€ tone of voice, that we guys come with our own built in pocket fiddle toy! However if he needs another one then what about a bolt with a couple of nuts on. You can bash the thread so that one nut stays fixed on the end and the other can then twirl up and down the bolt. I had one of these on my desk at work for years. If youā€™re concerned about risks with a steel one then a plastic one from a kidā€™s construction set would be almost as good.

I bought my dad a bunch of small hand held musical instruments at an expressive therapy conference I attended. They donā€™t fit in his pocket but I set them on an over bed table in front of him and he plays them throughout the day. His favorite is a little drum that he spins around between his index finger and thumb. Two tiny beads hit the drum and make a pleasant sound. I can find and provide the resource if it is of interest.

I saw a little cloth ball that was filled with little plastic/styrofoam pellets and is very squishy and soft. It is only about 2 inches square. He does play with it.

I just bought the hubby a lap tray
And with that I bought some magnets
He has issues with picking at scabs--just had to have an area cross-border he's picking at those scans. šŸ¤
