I personally dont believe its hereditary but at the same time it doesn't mean a whole family wont get it. It's one of life's secrets until it's there.

I think it depends. There's a familial one with “early onset dementia” [lost 5 members of a family to our in my hometown].

However, just recently I read the usual dementias, including Alzheimer's, we're NOT. I was relieved!
