What Do U Do When Your Husband Asks The Same Questions All Day Long ? Do U Say U Asked Me That A Thousand Times ??
It’s difficult and tiring at times but I would answer each time as if it was the first time. I would give anything to hear him speak, i miss him every day
I suspect all of us have said, "You asked me that already" sometimes or become impatient when this happens. It's a human response but totally futile. Answering the question each time is probably best but I sometimes have to walk away when it gets too much for me. I tell him I need to go to the bathroom!
Good evening, I know that it is hard because I have been there. I always question every time because they don’t remember that they just asked. Trust me it’s not easy for anyone.
I answer the question but occasionally I do remark that he has asked the question before. I used to sigh or lose my temper but someone on this board told me “It’s not him it is the disease”. That was one of the best things I ever learned. Good luck🙂
Writing things down can help (I usually use paper, but a white board is a good idea). After about the 4th or 5th time, I actually TELL my hubby that he's in a repetitive loop and that I've answered this before. That frequently works with him, because the doctor piece of him that's still in there doesn't want this to be happening. I'm not sure if it would work on everyone; and I also have a feeling it will stop working as the disease progresses; but it's worth trying.
