It's what helps many people with the use of Marijuana. My husband's doctor gave him the go-ahead to use marijuana if if he thought that would help him relax. I wasn't too excited about this but believe me it's been a lifesaver. When he gets super irritated one of our sons will bring him some and pretty soon he's mellow and content. Many of you will think it's still considered a drug and I did also, but it's been so useful. I won't go into one of those dispensaries, nor use it with him, but our sons have been helpful. I don't know about the gummies and their effect but worth asking what your doctors thoughts are also. Also my husband wasn't eating and this has helped in that area also, bringing back his appetite.

The thing with CBD is that it’s not regulated. One brand may help and another brand won’t. It can affect the blood pressure so you may need to monitor that. As much as we know about this disease, it won’t hurt to try it. For painful joints or restless legs it would be best to use the cream. For anxiety the gummies or liquid. I have a friend who go relief from fibromyalgia but had to quit using it because it drove her BP up. Another friend gets relief from his restless legs with the cream. I have tried it for Bob’s anxiety but the jury is still out on that one.

As @A myALZteam Member said, CBD is essentially a "cousin" of marijuana.

I posted this about a week ago, in response to a similar question:
I'm in NY, where medical marijuana is legal, and is tightly regulated by the State. It requires a doctor's prescription and is dispensed by licensed dispensaries, in various forms. My son with Vascular Dementia due to TBI has severe anxiety and his psychiatrist actually recommended that he try using it, in addition to his prescribed medications, so he has a prescription. At his first visit to the dispensary, he had a lengthy and extremely thorough discussion of his medications, with the dispensary's pharmacist. (I was there, and I was impressed.) And so far, it IS helping him with his anxiety.

As @A myALZteam Member wrote, it can be a very good thing sometimes.

This is the non-addictive, medically approved derivative of marijuana.

They have also been beneficial for people with chronic pain. I’ve never tried them. I have a friend who uses CBD cream for her arthritic hands and she gets relief.
