Does Anyone Else's Husband Focus On Death? Since The First Day, My Husband Realized He Was In His Care Facility He Is Determined To Die.
LeeAnn, my daughter found out today that the nursing staff has started my husband on a new medication for depression. I am so hoping that it will improve his mood. I told them that I felt he was depressed and dwelling on death too much lately. I am hoping there will be some improvement in his attitude lately. I want him to realize that I am doing the best I can for both of us.
I have made all our arrangements even to having our stone placed at our gravesite. I have paid for our funeral plans ahead of time so my children will not have to worry about it. Before my husband was diagnosed, we had just done new wills and power of attorney and living wills. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders just knowing it is taken care of. I don't want to have that burden on my dear children. I even selected our coffins! It sounds crazy to think about those details, but I think I have crossed every t and dotted every i. At least my children will know that I tried to take care of every detail. I signed the contract with our funeral home and the prices are guaranteed not to change, so that is a blessing for me, too.
Me too. I don't know what I'd do without this group. They have given me advice and encouragement to see me through thick and thin. And everyone has been so loving and compassionate. I've never not had a question or a situation responded to by someone who has had it too. And the resources are invaluable. There are articles on every subject imaginable. All you have to do is look. There is a 1-800 number you can call 24/7 and speak to a trained professional for free, if you feel you need to talk to a LIVE PERSON. That's how I found this group. If I sound sold on this group, I am. It's important to remember, KEEP POSTING!!!🤓
