I only tried one kind - depends full men's brief - they worked for us.

Depends Night Defense, with an insert called Tranquility. Read about the night defense. You can get a lot of different sizes from Target. If they don’t have them on the shelf, you can order them online and they are shipped to you.
I order the Tranquility inserts from Amazon.
The combination works well. Glad I found both.
I also have created a special protective sheet and pad combo that makes it easy to change and refresh as needed.
Actually, with the above Depends & Tranquility, I don’t have to change that bed protection every night. I folded a twin size bed sheet in half, top to bottom, sewed it all the way around, then added a strip on each side that I will be tucking in (as seen in the photo).
I first put on two of those protective pads that have plastic on the under side. Then I put a protective bed pad that has a waterproof underside (that’s now two layers of protection). Lastly, I put the sheet thingy I made. I tuck it under as tight as I can on both sides of the bed. (Notice. It is not as long as the bed, but it sufficiently covers the sleeping area.) it does get a little rumpled, but doesn’t appear to cause any discomfort.
If this this combination gets wet (no BM problems yet), it is easy to pull off the protective sheet and the underpad and toss it in the laundry. The plastic bottomed pads come from the VA. The waterproof pad with the soft fabric top comes from Target. I have four sets of this whole combination. I’ve washed the cloth waterproof pads a lot. They have held up well.
I have XL twin beds side by side in our bedroom. The protective bed combo that I have created fits the twin size very well. It easy easy for me to quickly pull it off, then quickly tuck in a clean, dry set.
I created a set to fit a queen size bed for traveling. I make reservations that include two queen beds.
Sorry about the length of this post, but I wanted to tell anyone who reads this about my solution. It works so well for me, and my husband always has a dry bed to sleep in. It is easy to change even in the middle of the night.
