I insisted that my husband stop driving a few months ago when his symptoms were still mild. He could still drive but was confused often enough about directions that I worried that if something unusual happened, like a car pulling out in front of us, he wouldn’t be able to react quickly enough. His judgment isn’t what it used to be.

We have a special place he puts his keys when he comes in the door and usually remembers to put them there! He doesn’t drive anymore since he went to drive and couldn’t get his feet on the correct pedals! Decided on his own to stop driving!

My husbands set of keys “ disappeared “ some time ago. I have the only keys to house, car etc and keep them in the bottom of my purse. I do have a lock box on our front door with a house key inside. Our family and neighbors know the code to open it in an emergency.

We have the tiles on her house keys and one on car key and the app on her phone. she calls me everytime she cant find them and i have her put phone on speaker and explain how to get to her tile app on phone and then to hit find keys and listen for music. So far this has worked.. just keep ck on the battery so it can be replaced as soon as it informs you battery is low. Which my mom doesnt drive anywhere since we got her moved from out in country. She used to go to aldis and mernards at least once a week. But after visiting one of her daughters in Phoenix for about a month (TOO LONG) she hasnt drove to either of those places and only to dollar store in town where i live and to walmart where my daughter lives up until the move.
